- children learn what ‘vocabulary’ means and talk about unfamiliar vocabulary
- children learn about context clues, and try to work out the meaning of unfamiliar words
- children use the skill again, this time with words from the next chapters of Land of Roar
- children read chapters 32-34 and use context clues to guess the meaning of unfamiliar words if they need to.
