Two weeks of Literacy planning based on 'Tin Forest' by Helen Ward and Wayne Anderson. Although this is a short picture book with few words, my Year 5 class loved studying this text. The first week looks more at narrative writing with the second week looking more at non-fiction writing. This text also linked well with our Topic on 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle'.
I can assure you these plans were written with Year 5 objectives in mind. I have taught these lessons to year 5 and they were very effective. I can see that when you download the files, they do seem to say Year 3 in the file name however they are definitely Year 5 plans. Sorry for any confusion.

No resources, so activities in plans aren't any good. I got in a sale. The framework is good to work with but alot of input is still needed. Any chance the resources could be provided?

I did not find this resource value for money at all. One of the days is just marked INSET DAY and another day is basically, 'practice weekly spellings'. All of the planning also relies on resources which have not been provided. Very disappointing.

I am sorry that you felt this way. As a teacher, I am sure you can appreciate that when I planned this unit of work, one of the days was an INSET day so I would not have planned for that day. As for the spellings, they are an additional activity to be carried out throughout the week. Monday to Friday's lessons are clearly labelled. Additional resources are not provided and you are able to view what files are included before purchasing.
