Year 7 Cells lesson 1 - Life processes and animal cells

Lesson 1 in year 7 cells topic looking at the 7 life processes and basic animal cell structures.
Students learn how to distinguish whether an object should be classed as living or non-living based on information they are given and their own knowledge. There is plenty of opportunity for discussion and also some harder examples to stretch higher students such as the classification of viruses.
