Mixtures and Separation Year 7 Topic + Practical Skills Training - 10 full lessons (KS3 7E)

This bundle contains PowerPoints and associated resources sufficient to deliver ten full lessons. The "Skills 1, 2 and 3" lessons will allow you to teach new Year 7 students essential practical skills including naming and drawing lab equipment, recognising hazards, measuring and weighing accurately, and lighting and using Bunsen burners safely. Each lesson includes an equipment list on the opening slide. The remaining lessons will allow you to teach the Key Stage 3 National Curriculum required learning on Mixtures and Separation Techniques. This bundle will allow you to teach Year 7 students the Key Stage 3 National Curriculum required learning on Mixtures and Separation Techniques. The bundle includes seven PowerPoints and associated resources sufficient to deliver seven full lessons. Lesson 7Ea “Mixtures” comes with an overview and Equipment list for the full topic. **Before delivering this topic, I recommend giving students practical skills training to ensure they can name and draw key lab equipment, and can safely light and use a Bunsen burner. Science Practical Skills - 3 full lessons KS3

This bundle contains three full lesson PowerPoints which focus solely on teaching students about the basics of safe and accurate practical work. These lessons should be delivered before going on to teach other Year 7 Science topics which involve using lab equipment, measuring masses, making solutions or using Bunsen burners. This bundle could also be used to engage lower ability KS4 classes who need work on their practical skills before attempting GCSE Required Practical lessons. Thank you for these documents. The lessons that you have made available for free are all high-quality. I am aware you are sharing them mainly to convince me to buy your other resources (which has worked by the way!) but it is nice to see such well made resources available on this platform.
