This project is designed to suit the AQA assessment objectives. It looks into artist research of Bridget Riley and Victor Vaserely.
The first task is a warm up activity for Op Art. It gets the students into the project and working in the style of general Op Artists. Reminding the students to three tone shade is a good idea to help with the illusion.
The second task is a creative artist research page designed to push their skills when presenting work. Higher ability students could use it as guidance and present their work in a more independent way.
A wide variety of materials could be used to complete this unit. It is designed to last approximately 6 weeks.
