Ideal to use as a starter or plenary activity. Pupils make as many links as possible between key words on the grid. To challenge pupils should use key words from different sides of the grid. Could be printed for pupils to write links in the middle section or projected onto the board with pupils writing links in their exercise books, mini white boards.

At the start of the lesson pupils use bubble diagram to write down all they can remember from the topic. Then use the knowledge brain spill to condense all key points covered in each of the topics either in note/diagram form. At the end of the lesson revisit the bubble diagram to see progress from lesson. (could use another colour pen at the end of the lesson).
Could be used by higher ability and lower ability or as a group work activity. Can be edited to include questions to focus revision for lower ability.

Revision mats can be given as a revision tool or as pre-exposure before teaching the topic. My classes linked being given them before a topic and it also promoted independent work throughout the topic.
Flashcards can be printed and cut out for pupls to answer on reverse.
