There are 5 mental arithmetic papers which get progressively harder (in line with the curriculum) to match the Year 6 SATs expectations. They are in the same format as the Year 6 SATs with mark schemes and answers.

Differentiated worksheets included which provide layout for less able children, a straightforward set of questions and mastery questions for more able.
How to use ellipsis
This powerpoint explains how to use ellipsis correctly in writing. It clearly states the different uses of an ellipsis with examples. It also provides some sentences for the children to explain how the ellipsis has been used in each case.
Active and Passive Voice - Grammar
An informative powerpoint which explains active and passive voice, giving examples and short interactive activities. Also included is two differentiated worksheets asking children to convert sentences from active to passive and vise versa.

Non-Chronological Report/Information Text on Dragons with task letter from Dragon Hunters
A non-chronological report about a new mythical dragon called the Frost Dragon which can be used for Talk for Writing to learn the structure or annotated to mark the features. Also included is a letter from the Dragon Hunters Association asking the children to create their own reports about the Shrek Dragon. You can edit the letter to change the dragon you want them to write about and add your class name as the recipient.
I used this with Year 2 children and have included two differentiated writing templates to assist in the writing process.

Year 5 spelling guide book for parents (2014 curriculum)
I have had many parents asking me for a list of spellings the children should be learning in year 5 so I created this guide. You can add your school name and logo on the front cover to personalise it and it can be photocopied into a small book and sent home.
Depending on demand, I am hoping to do one for each year group.
The objectives from the National Curriculum are used under free use and re-use for all purposes, both commercial and non-commercial – the Open Government Licence.

2014 Curriculum Year 1 to Year 6 Writing and Reading target sheets
Reading and Writing targets sheets. These are designed as one page per year group in ascending order from Year 1 to Year 6. All fit to the 2014 curriculum and Year 2/Year 6 writing exemplifications 2016.
They have been colour coded for the different sections of English as follows (although some may fall into two categories):
Yellow – Spelling
Green – Handwriting
Orange – Composition
Blue – Grammar and Punctuation
Purple – Reading
You can print these directly onto labels (21 per sheet) and then they can be easily stuck into books/reading records etc.
