A simple IWB game designed in Powerpoint to develop early perceptual subitising skills. This Space Alien themed game is ideal for whole-class teaching and learning and or small guided group work using the interactive whiteboard. Children are presented with varying amounts of Space aliens (4 or 5?) and need to match the appropriate symbolic number digit card as fast as they can. This game is 32 slides in length and easily editable. This game links well with the Spring Term Alive in 5! WhiteRoseMaths unit exploring the composition of four and five. A simple interactive whiteboard maths game to support the development of children’s early number skills. Children are invited to subitise the spots on the domino from one to five (see how many without counting) and click on the matching symbolic number card. This game fits well with WhiteRose Maths Spring Term Unit Alive in Five and supports subisiting skills within five - a key early learning goal in Reception. This interactive maths game can be used to introduce different ways of making amounts within five. It can be an ideal introduction to independent learning activities and maths investigation, exploring domino patterns and different ways of making amounts within five. For example, children can match and sort all the different ways of making four and five and begin to create and design their own arrangements using resources from @spotonnumber. This game is easily editable and 32 slides in length. This maths game can be played as a whole class or during small-group or 1-1 adult-led sessions. It could also be used to assess whether children are able to confidently subitise numbers within five. A simple IWB game designed in Powerpoint to develop children’s early subitising skills. Children are invited to subitise the amount of spots they see on each ladybird (4 or 5 spots?) and click on the matching symbolic number. This activity may work well as part of whole class teaching and learning or small guided group session. Children can all participate by subitising the spots and by showing either 4 or 5 fingers to represent the spots on each ladybird. A simple IWB Maths Game to support the development of children’s early conceptual subitising and addition skills within ten. Children are presented with various domino arrangements (total amounts from six to ten) and say the number of spots they can see altogether. Help the Dinosaur count the spots. Children calculate the total amount of spots and click on the matching number card to reveal the answer. Although this IWB Maths game is not endorsed by WRM, it is strongly aligned to the EYFS Spring Term WhiteRose Maths Units Growing 6,7,8 and Building 9 and 10. This IWB Maths game works well as part of whole class teaching and learning or as a small adult-led guided group session. Children can write the addition calculation on small whiteboards or show the answer with their fingers. This game helps to consolidate children’s conceptual subitising skills and addition within ten. Although we should be encouraging children to see the number of rockets shown, counting down the rockets to launch is also great fun too. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, zero…blast off!
