2-3 lessons focused on unfamiliar listening of the Baroque and Classical genres and focus on key terminology in the questions (Qu 8 on the exam). All pp is differentiated with success criteria. 4 questions - 1 with a score and extension questions for target grade 8/9 students. 1x question includes a short score and becomes the focus for an essay question comparing to Beethoven. PP includes answers and breaks them down into AO3 and 4 possibly answers to encourage top mark essay writing skills and content.

A series of 3 lessons which focus on the key aspects (textures and other musical features) which can be found in Baroque and Classical Music. There is an element of theoretical knowledge and then putting these ideas into practice through composition. The final lesson asks students to react to feedback for either the Baroque or Classical style they have composed. All tasks are differentiated with success criteria and worksheets are attached so students can save their notes for composition and revision.

A grade 9 response analysing Macbeth and Lady Macbeth’s relationship. This was an exam question in May 2021. It is formatted to fit neatly onto one page for ease of photocopying. This would achieve a mark in Band 6 because it is a critical, exploratory, well-structured argument which takes a conceptualised approach to the full task supported by a range of judicious references. There is some a fine-grained and insightful analysis of language supported by judicious use of subject terminology. There is a convincing exploration of different perspectives and interpretations. 5 Quotation revision posters covering key quotations for 5 characters in Romeo and Juliet: Romeo, Juliet, Capulet, Tybalt, Mercutio. Each quotation is accompanied with explanatory notes to help guide analysis.

An A3 revision sheet containing what I consider to be the 100 most important quotations in A Christmas Carol alongside a brief explanation of the quotation to help contextualise it. There are many ways students and teachers can use the revision sheet. Below are four recommended ways. TASK 1: Read through the 100 quotations and RAG rate them in terms of how confident you would be including each quotation in an exam-style response. TASK 2: Add letters to link quotations to the following themes: C = Christmas, F = Family, G = Greed, I = Isolation. P = Poverty, R = Responsibility, S = Settings T = Transformation. TASK 3: Work in pairs to test each other on the quotation explanations. TASK 4: Choose 5-10 quotations to develop with further inferences into full analytical paragraphs which explore Dickens’ meaning, methods and motives in depth. A pack of 3 sheets which describe each section of the Eduqas GCSE Set Work Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. All features of the set works are included so students can annotate their scores. There is also a short test (with answers) to be completed after each sheet is completed so you can test their understanding. Each sheet has graded success criteria. These sheets can work well for revision, flip learning or homework activities.

Students read and analyse 20 short key extracts from the play. I have selected the extracts most likely to feature in the exam. Bronze: Explain what is happening. Silver: Analyse 3 key quotes Gold: Link to context and answer the question Students can then check their answers on the PowerPoint which contains sample annotations for each extract. They are colour coded. Includes 2 versions. AQA (with context) and EDUQAS (without context). Up to 7 lessons worth of material to encourage practical musicianship. Differentiated resources for different instruments in order to create an ensemble performance of Don’t Stop Believing. There are at least 3 tasks for each instrument and the music is also annotated with note names or without. There is also a Sibelius 6 file which can be adapted to suit other instrumentation. The wow word sheet has 3 levels of differentiation and introduces students to musical language by describing the musical features of the song - this works well as a starter and provides a suitable worksheet for students to revise from for an end of unit listening test.
