Year R Reading Cards A set of 15 reading cards for Year R children. Each card contains one question or activity for the children to complete linked to their reading book. Summer Home Learning A summer booklet for children to complete as home learning during the summer holiday. The summer booklet encourages children to record and rate the books that they have read during the summer, to look at the weather, to record what they have learnt, tried and enjoyed and to use their senses to think about the different things that they have experienced. There are two versions of the booklet - a colour version and a black and white version. My New Class A set of 15 activity worksheets for children to complete when they join their new class. These worksheets are aimed at Year 1 children. The presentation covers why we need to apologise and how it makes others and ourselves feel if we do something wrong. The presentation could be used as an assembly or as an introduction during a PSHE lesson. Kindness PowerPoint A presentation aimed at Early Years and Key Stage 1 children about kindness. The presentation explains what kindness is and how it makes people feel. The presentation asks children to think about how to show kindness and provides some ideas for how we can show kindness to each other. The presentation also explains that we can show kindness to the world around us and gives examples. The presentation could be used as an assembly or during a PSHE discussion or lesson. Manners PowerPoint A PowerPoint presentation focusing on manners and how we use them in different situations every single day. The presentation starts with some manners for sale and ends with the conclusion that manners cannot be sold, they are free and we can all use good manners everyday. The presentation includes examples and pictures of good manners. The presentation could be used as an assembly or as an introduction to manners for a PSHE lesson. Emotions PowerPoint A presentation about emotions, what they are and how we can recognise and control them. This presentation can be used as an assembly or during a PSHE discussion or lesson about emotions. The PowerPoint includes questions for children to think about and answer. This presentation can be used to help children to understand that everybody experiences positive and negative emotions and how we can deal with these emotions. Aimed at Early Years and Key Stage 1 children.

A set of 56 Christmas based thinking and talking cards for Key Stage 1 children and a set of 56 Christmas based thinking and talking cards for Key Stage 2. These cards encourage children to engage in critical and flexible thinking. Children enjoy answering the questions and using both their existing knowledge and imagination to construct answers. These cards are also useful for speaking and listening activities. The cards can be printed and laminated or displayed on the IWB. They can be used during whole class carpet time or in smaller groups.

Two phonics activities focusing on vowel digraphs and trigraphs. Phonics Activity A phonics activity for practising and revising vowel digraphs and trigraphs. Children are shown the focus sound and then real words and alien words with the focus sound missing. Children can practise writing real and alien words on their whiteboards using the focus sounds. The activity could be used during phonics lessons, as an intervention for any children requiring extra support or in the lead up to the phonics screening. A good activity to support children to recognise sounds plus spell and read words. Phonics Workbook A phonics activity workbook covering vowel digraphs and trigraphs. Each sound has three workbook pages - one to practise writing real words, one to identify alien words and one to complete a sentence using the focus sound in a word. There is a space on the sentence writing page for children to draw a picture to match the sentence and to show their understanding of the sentence. This activity workbook could be completed as part of a group, independently or could be sent home as home learning/homework. I have also used this workbook as Early Morning Work for children to practise their phonics. The workbook supports children to become more confident with each focus sound and as the activities are repeated for each new sound the children can become more independent when completing the workbook. Aimed at Early Years and Key Stage 1 children.
