Covering the key points for the Common entrance, KS 3 and middle school circuits work with circuit symbols, truth tables current in series and parallel circuits, line graphing and various components there is something here to stretch everyone while making sure the basics are in place as well. There is a graduated differentiation task as the last question to allow pupils to choose their level of challenge. Will last around 30 minutes.

A follow up to energy types and transfer test with questions on generators, fuels, skiing and Bunsen burners. There are also a couple of ‘draw a device that changes x energy into y and z energy’. The last question is about bungee jumping and asks candidates to calculate the size of GPE and use this and the kinetic energy formula to calculate a velocity. Suitable for KS 3, ISEB common entrance and scholarship candidates as well as basic GCSE review.

This is an introduction to drawing line graph. All the resources required are included apart from graph paper, which you need for 4 of the tasks. There are 2 bar charts as well as 4 line graphs and other questions on reading a line graph and plotting points. We use these with year 4, KS2 . There is another pack on bar charts and a third on using different scales available on tes resources. Very useful for cover, after experiments or other tasks or when the whole day has gone to pot and you need an easy but constructive lesson. Perimeter calculations and measurement also included.
