GCSE PE: Skeletal System Retrieval Practice Question with QR Codes

(0)
Provide personalised feedback to individual students in your class at the same time. Have you ever wondered how to provide feedback to all of your students at the same time? Now you can, by using this interactive retrieval practice worksheet and resource on the skeletal system. This retrieval practice resource, with 32 questions, is a quick and easy way for your students to review their learning and to succinctly answer exam style questions. It is ideal for independent learning and it gives students the feedback they need immediately, without having to wait for you to confirm they have answered the question correctly or explain why they have got it wrong. How can my students use this resource? Students answer the question in the first column of the worksheet without referring to any notes or having any assistance. They need to think hard to remember what the answer might be - this is retrieval practice. When they have completed the question they scan the QR code using their device and a short YouTube video provides them with the model answer. The students check their responses and the space in the third column provides the opportunity for them to improve their answer if this is necessary. In what other ways can I use this resource? This resource comes in a variety of formats. As well as the Word and PDF documents of the worksheet you will also receive a PowerPoint of the 32 questions which can be displayed on your whiteboard as starter or plenary activity or as an interleaving activity when you are studying another topic and of course for revision. The resource can also be printed as smaller slides which can then be displayed on your classroom walls and in and around the PE department and in the changing rooms. In this way the students can answer the questions and scan the QR code to receive immediate feedback without teachers having to be present. “This is a massive time saver and while other students are working through the worksheet it frees me up in lessons to provide tailored support to the students that need it most.”

OCR A Level PE (2016): Curriculum Tracking Document

(0)
As HoD or teacher i/c A level PE you can now be more confident than ever that every aspect of the whole two year specification is covered. This excel spreadsheet allows you and your colleagues to quickly and easily indicate when a topic has been covered. It also allows you to track which pupils have mastered a topic, which still need more work and those who are way off the pace and require serious intervention. Here's how to use this OCR A Level PE curriculum tracking document: Store the tracking document in a shared folder so all A level PE teachers can access it. When a topic has been covered, teachers simply put a 'Yes' in the column against the corresponding topic, automatically turning the cell from red to green. This is an ideal tool for small and large departments, especially those with more than one teacher teaching the same component to different classes. You may wish to track your students' progress as well. Against the students' names, enter a 1 if their knowledge and understanding is limited and they are in need of considerable intervention, (the corresponding cell will turn red), enter a 2 if they have a reasonable understanding but still need to work on the topic (the cell will turn orange) or enter a 3 if the student has mastered the topic. Ideally, by the end of the course, all the cells should be green!

GCSE PE: Multiple Choice - Bundle Pack

3 Resources
Save 25% when you buy these three multiple choice resources together. These are interactive multiple choice resources using PowerPoint which will really help you assess your students' learning. Not many other multiple choice resources offer so much. 1. Exam style questions are displayed - without initially showing any possible answer. This encourages students to think about what the correct answer might be, before the responses are shown. So you can also use this resource for short answer questions. 2. Students can then click on each of the numbers to make the corresponding response appear. 3. If a student is sure that a particular response is incorrect, they can click on the corresponding number again to make the response disappear - thus helping to develop good exam technique as eliminating incorrect responses is good exam practice. 4. Students then choose which answer is correct and click on the main text of the response to receive immediate feedback about their response. If they are correct, the response turns green, however, if the response is incorrect the response turns red AND feedback about that response is provided, thus helping students move forward with their learning. This is also an excellent resource to use for whole class teaching on the interactive whiteboard as a starter or plenary activity and is great for assessing learning. If you are using iPads, or other tablets students can download the PowerPoint app (for free) from the App Store or Google Play. You can easily and simply push the resource to your students through Showbie. This resource can also be put onto your school VLE allowing for rich and deep personalised learning away from the classroom.
