This is a lesson aimed at LA KS3 or HA KS2. It is a series of lessons which develops a pupils understanding of plotting coordinates in all 4 quadrants. There are some really basic tasks in order to recap plotting coordinates but the lesson is aimed at problem solving in order to find missing vertices of shapes, mid points ect. All tasks get progressively more difficult. There are reasoning and problem solving tasks which are suitable for the new curriculum. All tasks have solutions so that it is easy for the pupils to mark their work. This has been used and allowed pupils to master the skill and for the more able to develop their understanding. Used with a top set and second set year 7 and lots of challenge with plenty of engagement.

A mixture of 5 questions exploring the new curriculum. Fluency, Reasoning and Worded Problems all included which are vital in the new curriculum. There is 6 of the same starter so pupils do this for 6 lessons running with the aim of mastering these key topics. All solutions included.

This explores many different contexts involving decimals, ordering fractions and adding and subtracting fractions All tasks include reasoning, problem solving aswell as mastering the fluency of the topic. This lesson allows pupils to master the skill of expanding brackets and using and applying this with shape and also algebraic fractions All tasks include reasoning, problem solving aswell as mastering the fluency of the topic. All tasks include full solutions and worked examples so that pupils can self and peer mark. All tasks are fully differentiated to either 2/3/4 levels.

Series of Lessons (2-3) on using and applying trigonometry with bearings, angles of elevation and angles of depression. This lesson has a recap of using and applying basic trigonometry in 2D using SOHCAHTOA. All tasks include reasoning, problem solving aswell as mastering the fluency of the topic. All tasks include full solutions and worked examples so that pupils can self and peer mark. All tasks are fully differentiated to either 2/3/4 levels.

A series of lessons 2-4 on using 1/2abSin(C) to find the area of a triangle. The lesson allows pupils to practice the skill and then extend learning to combine it with sine and cosine rule to find area of triangles. There area also algebraic problems, bound problems and area of polygons using trigonometry. All tasks are differentiated to 3 or 4 levels to allow the skill to be practiced and then to stretch and challenge the more able. All tasks have either worked solutions or typed solutions so that the pupils can self mark. This has been used with top set year 11, all pupils engaged and made good progress.

RAG task for angles in a triangle. Combines many other angle properties and allows the pupils to challenge themselves on angles with algebra. Pupils engaged in being given an option to challenge themselves.

A series of lessons on Venn Diagrams which involve drawing information from a Venn Diagram, drawing venn diagrams and calculating probabilities from Venn Diagrams. This lesson can be aimed at middle and high ability and all tasks are differentiated to at least 2 different levels. All tasks have solutions and is ideal to use with a new curriculum topic. Used with year 11 and pupils engaged and being challenged at all levels.

An ideal resource which can recap using the four operations with fractions. It practices the skills, using it in functional problems and then introduces the more able pupils to more vague contexts which are ideal for the new curriculum. Ideal for revision, as a lesson, a game and engages the pupils to really challenge themselves. Full lesson to follow the ensure pupils are fully prepared for new curriculum.

Red and Green treasure hunt where pupils answer a question, find the solution and so on. 2 different levels to ensure that there is differentiation. Can be used for revision and once laminated used over again. Pupils engaged whether doing it in class books, as a poster or as a treasure hunt

A series of lessons on finding percentages of an amount. Pupils are given the opportunity to problem solve in various contexts, learn the skill and also tackle worded problems to ensure they are working with literacy. All tasks are differentiated at least 3 ways, if not 4 and all solutions are included on each slide. This can be used with KS2, KS3 or low ability KS4. Pupils engaged completing tasks.

A series of lessons on finding fractions of an amount. All tasks are differentiated at least 3 ways and there is an opportunity to problem solve, reasoning tasks and also worded problems. There is the opportunity to problem solve to prepare pupils for the new curriculum. All tasks come with solutions and are non printable so easy use in class. Can be used for KS2, KS3 and low ability KS4. Pupils have been engaged throughout during this lesson.

RAG Task on Solving Linear Equations. Includes unknowns on both or one side of an equation, including fractions and also negative solutions. A task which engages pupils and ensures progress can be made through a topic. Works well with KS3 and KS4
