VALENTINE'S DAY GEOMETRY. Regular and Irregular Polygons. Interior and Exterior Angles.

5 Resources
VALENTINE’S DAY GEOMETRY. Regular and Irregular Polygons. Interior and Exterior Angles. A selection of Valentine’s Day themed resources to help students in the development of their understanding of interior/exterior angles in relation to both regular and irregular polygons. Full descriptions can be found under the heading of each individual resource. Key ideas:- The sum of the interior angles of a polygon is (n-2)x180 where n is the number of sides. The sum of the interior angles of a polygons is nx180 where n is the number of triangles within the polygon. The sum of the exterior angles of a polygon is 360. The size of one exterior angle of a regular polygon is 360 divided by the number of sides. The number of sides of a regular polygon can be found by dividing 360 by one exterior angle. KS4/GCSE. Number. Surds. Christmas Activity Bundle. 40 Activities. This collection of activities is intended to injects a bit of festive fun into surds. Each activitiy follows the same principle… What colour do the Christmas lights shine? Students determine what colour the lights shine by solving the surds and using the grid to determine the colour order of the lights. This activitity pack covers a unit of work… Beginning with simplifying surds then moving on to simplifying expressions containing surds Adding Subtracting Multiplying Dividing They will then move on to expanding brackets containing surds as well as rationalising the denominators of fractions. The challenge increases as students progress through the activities. Attached in the download are two separate documents. The first is the activity booklet containing 40 activity sheets. Each sheet has instructions and a worked example. The second is a booklet containing the corresponding answers and worked solutions. Thank you for looking.
