For South African IEB Physical Education Task Grade 12. A logbook, self-study guide and research task for the Physical Education Task. Requires the use of Focus Life Orientation, Learner’s Book, Grade 12 but can be adapted for other prescribed textbooks.

KS3/ 9 A 14 page unit which introduces students to the importance and work of the UN and AU. Includes a section on the role of peacekeepers. Includes assessment tasks with suggested answers. Can be printed or projected. In one task, students use written and video resources (internet links supplied) to make their own study notes. - gain an understanding of the roles, objectives and organs of the two organisations - know what the role of peacekeepers should be - assess the effectiveness of their contributions in specific situations - use evidence to support the conclusions reached

KS3: Year / Grade 9. A 16 page unit of work with background information and tasks, including an internet source based task, which I use to assess performance whilst studying this topic. It can be printed and projected and is most useful for students who have internet access. It also describes genocide in Namibia and Rwanda in an effort to make students aware of the ongoing nature of this type of violence. It contains links to websites which my students have found useful and interesting.
