David Morse's Resources

Average Rating4.92
(based on 7003 reviews)

I regularly upload resources that I have created during 30 years as a teacher. Most of these are maths, but there are some ICT/Computing and Tutor Time activities. All of the resources are my own and are not available from third-parties. The resources have been tweaked over time and I have had many happy lessons and shed-loads of happy and successful students. At the end of 2017 the TES announced that I was the most downloaded new author and in 2018 another 2 million were added to the count.

Kindness Quotes (Wall Display, Mini-Cards, PowerPoint)

(2)
Printables and PowerPoints Below is a description of how my lesson would typically go… Start: I have the PowerPoint running as the students arrive. It should go through a few loops by the time everyone is settled. As the PowerPoint is running, I give out the min-cards (one between two/three). Activities: I ask the students to discuss the quotes and arrange them into order so that the quotes that they like the most go at the top. I stop the class and have a discussion about favourite (kindness) quotes and why they like them. I might also ask why some were not liked. I then ask about kindness that students have shown, or kindnesses that have been shown to them. What were their feelings at the time (and now). Using the Internet (if students are allowed phones), or otherwise, students can find/make up some other kindness quotes. Class discussion on some of the additional quotes (I might add new quotes to the PowerPoint) Ending: I display the ‘finish-the-quote’ PowerPoint and go through and see if students can finish the quote (I might go through this a couple of times). I might pick individuals to answer, if too many are shouting out!
