An Introduction to Jane Austen
This booklet includes short extracts from Austen’s six major novels (Pride and Prejudice;Sense and Sensibility; Emma; Northanger Abbey; Mansfield Park; and Persuasion). Each extract is followed by discussion questions linked to the extract. The last page requires students to compare and contrast the extracts. Discussion focuses on narrative voice, settings, protagonists, writing style, and vocabulary.
Intended to be used as an introduction to Austen and writers of the long nineteenth century.

In this workbook, students follow 10 steps to produce an information text on mountains. Students are guided through research, planning, organisation and editing.
