HTO place value grid

(0)
Hundreds tens and ones place value grid. This grid is split into two rows to encourage children to use different resources to think about the difference between eg the number of tens and the value of the tens column. I have used it and encouraged children to think about which resources they would put in each row to best represent the questions that are being asked (for example, the first row asks 'What is it worth?' and I have encouraged children to use base 10 as this shows the value. The second row asks 'How many are there?' and I have encouraged children to draw blank counters or use cubes to represent the digit in that column). This is best if printed in A3 and then laminated for durability.

Lesson plan to go with the book Click Clack Moo (if you haven’t read it then do - it’s great!). Focus on prediction/repetition. Suitable for Y2-Y3. Ideal for a standalone / interview lesson or to start a unit of work. My class loved reading this book and we ended up learning it off by heart. Easy to follow up by planning and writing the next book using this one as a model.

Three times (3x) table loop cards / follow me cards

This resource includes a set of 30 editable loop cards based on the 3x table. The cards focus on multiplying and dividing by three but also include some addition and subtraction of 3 (to ensure children are reading the question properly). The cards form a complete loop so can be started and ended anywhere. These are included as part of my Multiplication and Division: the 3 times table lesson pack (Y3).
