I have tried to balance one word answers with questions that require expanded answers. These bright cards are great for both recollection of information and comprehension. Dinosaur themed visual sentence building cards. Students will need to include an auxillary verb, possessive noun and a preposition (or more depending on the length of the sentence.) This is a neat confidence boosting activity for early literacy. A fun activity that asks students to look closely at Homer’s description of Calypso’s island. I have used this activity not only as revision of Book 5, but as a way to produce wonderful creative writing. (This activity produces great classroom display material!) Students are asked to design a postcard describing their reaction to Calypso’s island, having taken a cruise ship to see the place. 3 pages outlining the activity; suggesting what to include in the postcard. Postcard template isn’t included.
