PSYCHOPATHOLOGY Revision Powerpoint AQA Psychology

Designed to recap the whole psychopathology topic for new spec AQA Psychology. Includes shortened notes for definitions of abnormality, OCD, Depression and Phobias I give the students a copy of the student version (usually 2 slides to page) to complete and annotate while I go through the teacher version as a class. Or I get them to complete bits before we go through it. Another idea - You could delete more text off the student version and they could complete it all themselves for homework before you go through it. I have also included a set of exam questions on psychopathology and some blank boxed for short plans for essays on the topics for second years. I have also uploaded an attachment, Memory and some A2 topics (like Sz and Forensic).

This includes a revision lesson on hypotheses and variables that I do with second years - assuming some first year knowledge on the topics. This is my first revision lesson on research methods for the students so i have included a key term check sheet as well which I start with. The students complete the notes sheet as we work through the ppt. Sometimes note taking and sometimes completing the activities before we go through the answers. Research Methods Psychology Christmas Key Term Game

(0)
This is based on an old game called You Say We Pay or Hot Seat. The class is split into 2 or more teams. One member from one team comes to the front and sits in the “hot seat” with their back to the board. Their team mates have to describe the key term to the person in the “hot seat”. That team then has 1 minute to get as many words as they can. Then someone from the other team sits at the front and they have to get as many words as they can. The resources included are: A set of key terms covering the whole of the AQA Psychology RM course (over 100 words) Two sets of the same key terms (over 150) including random Christmas words mixed in, as a fun game before Xmas holidays. I have included two sets of these same words, so it could be played twice with the same group as the words are in a different order. An alternative way to use it: Print the key terms instead and then get a student to describe as many as they can to the team to guess instead. Or use them to play pictionary with the students
