A 3 week fully resourced Shakespeare unit based on Richard the third. I have written it for upper KS2 but it could be adapted for any age or key stage, Each day is differentiated and resourced.
This is linked to the SOW for the wars of the Roses (also available on TES) and was taught as part of a cross-curricular unit

A comprehensive covering letter and personal statement which I wrote during my recent job search.
Although it obviously needed to be adapted to suit the needs of each school that I was applying for, I found that having a ‘base’ letter was extremely useful. I was shortlisted for each job I sent this application to (and gained a headship)
There was nothing on line at the time that I could use to guide/scaffold me, so I hope that someone finds this useful!
4 complete lessons, based on the skills and building blocks of good quality sentences.
Lesson 1 - Word classes and clauses (simple sentences)
Lesson 2 - Combining simple sentences (compound and complex sentences)
Lesson 3 - Subordination and positioning of additional clauses
Lesson 4 - preventing and fixing run on's, fragments and splices.
The stimulus for the unit is the short film 'The Alchemist's letter' which is available on You Tube and Literacy Shed.

A complete 5 week unit, based around the history and art of Ancient Egypt.
All resources and a power point for each lesson is included.
Children explore Canopic jars and then create a 3d construction, using recycled materials and mod-roc (could just as easily be paper mache)

A complete 3-week scheme of work. Exploring, writing and retelling Greek Myths. Written for lower KS2 and fully linked to the new curriculum.
I have planned for a strong emphasis on Grammar and writing skills (clause structures, direct speech, word choices and figurative description techniques)
All stories are included and all resources have also been uploaded. There is a powerpoint for each day (except when in the final 2 days of Phase 3 - as the children are writing their extended outcomes at that point)

History explores the causes and battles of the Wars, before exploring the discovery of Richards body.

A Whole School set of complete lessons, written for the afternoon of Earth Day, pitched at each of the EYFS, KS1, LKS2 and UKS2 phases. They all touch on the problems posed by plastic pollution.
Children learn about the issues and then undertake various tasks.
Resource consists of a powerpoint presentation, with printable resources required for the lesson.
A transition day lesson, full of ideas for getting to know your new class. Could be used on transition day, or on the first day of term. UPDATED FOR 2023
PowerPoint is fully adaptable to your needs, but takes you through the lesson plan step by step. All of the resources are included too. The activities all lead to potential displays for your classroom.
1,. Growth mindset poster activity - feeds into a discussion about the type of learners we want to be.
2. Guess Who bunting - children design their own piece to match their characters, using likes and dislikes etc… Makes an effective display for the start of the year.
3. A passport which will provide space for key information about students and mini art works to complete on transition day. Suitable for KS2. Could be printed onto a single sheet of A3 to make it large enough for display. (this would make it A5 on each surface)
4. A blank mobile phone template - for a Selfie portrait activity and display. I did it Snap chat style with text and images too. Made a really great display for September.

An art scheme of work, for upper KS2, based around cultural diversity in tribes of people around the world. Chdn use batik, aboriginal symbols and T Shirt decorating.
We finished the topic, with a sleepover in school - with the children setting up camp in the field, and displaying all of their learning in and around their tents. We then invited the rest of the school and parents to come and share with us. We served foods and listened to music from the different cultural groups. Geography has been uploaded in a separate unit.
