The idea works that students should know the core building blocks around the edge of the page. The task therefore is to summarise these key points in the middle, only focusing on the things they have forgotten: The final task is to get this all on to a postcard - their revision notes to take away! This makes it all manageable for the student. Topics covered: fission, fusion, speed, acceleration, decay, alpha, beta, gamma, momentum, atomic structure, units, definitions, work, power, electricity, current, voltage and much more. Revision loop card activity for Core Physics. Students need to cut out the cards and then sequence them so that the question on one card matches the answer on the next one. If the student get them correct, it will form a loop. The answer sheet is also provided so that you can quickly check response and identify any mistakes made by the student(s). A great activity to challenge students - who is quickest; to assess students and highlight misconceptions. Articulate game. Can be used as a starter, plenary or challenge/quiz game. The student selects a card about the topic studied and has to describe the words using words, picture/diagrams or actions. More points are awarded for not using words or diagrams!! Great for competition! A fun an interesting game that really engages the students! Remember to have some rewards for the best action and winner!

3 different keyword and definition spinners. These are printed out and then cut out. The windows on the top sheet are cut out to reveal the word and its definition below. These work best if the two sheets are secured with a pin. This is great for keyword revision and for students working in groups testing each other. These are available for biology, chemistry and physics units.

Covers the main topic areas and keywords from the AQA specification. This can be used as a whole class activity or these can be printed as double-sided cards for students to use in small groups. The aim of the task is to select the question that the least people got right when asked the same question. Who therefore can get the lowest score is the winner. There are a few pointless answers in there too. Great for challenge and to really extend the most able while also supports other students with reinforcing keywords.

This task is designed around the fact that students need to "learn" the key information. This therefore is given and the students need to learn it. They can make notes in the space inside, but by the end of the task can only make notes on a postcard/post-it. This is based around study skills and making revision notes - you don't have to copy out the book.
