A speaking mat and support sheets for pupils when describing a photo in Spanish. There are lots of useful phrases to help with describing the photo itself, as well as lots of complex language and Grade 8 constructions for pupils to include. There is a speaking mat for revision and a support sheets with: phrases to introduce a photo, past tense expressions, weather phrases, using the gerund, complex constructions to include, useful connectives, opinion phrases etc. My own pupils have found this very useful and it provides an excellent scaffold for them producing high quality work.

There is a pre-reading vocabulary match up, the text, comprehension questions (answers in Spanish), true/false question and reformulation translation into Spanish. There are four accounts of different holidays in the past tense and two reading comprehension questions: one is tick the box and the other requires full answers. A longer writing task on the topic of school aimed at KS3 / GCSE - it requires knowledge of the present, preterite and immediate future tenses as a minimum. There is a GCSE style question, with a model answer and structures to find within the text. There is a reference sheet/ revision sheet of key verbal constructions and their prepositions in Spanish.
