Your students will love creating artwork based on the unique animals of Africa with this pack of four lessons covering drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media. If you are studying Africa or animals, or you are just after a pack of art lessons that cover a range of techniques, this set of lessons will be ideal. The pack contains a PDF slideshow which leads students through the lesson step-by-step and can be displayed on a screen. Plus, there is a student handout version that can be printed. This Valentine’s Day pack gives two fun ways to practise making 2-digit numbers using chocolate “tens” and “ones” with a digital version and a hands-on craft version. With the digital version, there are 10 slides in which students add the tens and ones and move the correct number onto the note, and 10 slides in which students move chocolate “tens” and “ones” into the chocolate box to make the number shown on the note. This activity can be used in PowerPoint or on Google Classroom™. With the printable version, students cut and paste the chocolate “tens” and “ones” into the chocolate box and complete maths sentences to practise writing the 2-digit number as tens and ones, an addition sentence, a combined number, and a number bond. The finished boxes would look great on a display. If you’re studying ancient Greece, this 3D paper model will bring your topic to life. This is a hands-on project ideal for year 3 and above, using materials that are easily available. You can differentiate with the craft by using the smaller, easier version or the larger, more challenging version. The smaller size is 3.5in x 3in and the larger size is about 4in x 7in. The smaller size has three pieces to join, and you can simplify this further by leaving out the steps. The larger version has five pieces to join, so is more challenging and great for older children. Ideas for use: Students could colour it first, or make it as it is. You could also get students to add a modern twist or any other details to make it unique. This fun, hands-on Christmas craft pack ticks a lot of boxes. Your students will love making seven Christmas crafts, which could be turned into ornaments, and there’s an option to cover geometry maths skills at the same time. The seven crafts include a Christmas tree (cone), present (cube), bauble (sphere), milk and biscuits (cylinders), Santa hat (pyramid), and gingerbread house (rectangular prism and triangular prism). To turn the crafts into ornaments add string or ribbon, or use the paper handles included on each page. Have some fun practising addition and subtraction this Valentine’s Day with a fun letterbox craft where students stick on stamps and post math envelopes. It’s easy to differentiate with the following options included: Numbers within 20 Adding/subtracting a single digit to/from a 2-digit number 2-digit numbers without regrouping 2-digit numbers with regrouping 3-digit numbers without regrouping 3-digit numbers with regrouping 3-digit numbers without regrouping For numbers within 20 and adding/subtracting a single digit to/from a 2-digit number, students choose which stamp to add, then use the number on the stamp to fill the math equation before working out the answer. All kids would love to design their dream bedroom or dream treehouse, so these area and perimeter practice activities will spark their imagination and creativity! Plus, they’ll get plenty of practice at applying concepts of perimeter and area. There are two different design options – a dream bedroom and a dream treehouse, so you can choose one or the other, or use both. Each design comes with options for perimeter, area, or perimeter and area. Measurements include centimetres and inches, and area also includes square units. Students choose the items they’d like to add to their dream bedroom or treehouse, draw them on the grid, then measure and record the area and/or perimeter.
