Task that asks pupils to interpret data about the performance of football teams and then place 10 teams into a league table based on the information provided. They will need to works systematically and use the following maths skills: ordering addition multiplication subtraction finding the difference use negative numbers in context copy and place data into a table correctly work logically and systematically Task can be differentiated by changing expectation of what you wish pupils to do - e.g. you might just ask children to order the teams and simply provide their total points. Greater depths could be asked to fill the whole table with minimal support.
