These are designed to create discussion in class, by deciding whether the transformations described are correctly described or not. I have designed these with online learning in mind.

Three “Crack The Safe” activities on decimals (stuff related to decimals). There is one on calculating with decimals, one on equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages and one on recurring decimals. These contain six questions but ten possible answers (bar the equivalence worksheet) meaning that students can self-check their answers (are they in the list of possible answers?) whilst the teacher can help those who require it. I use these as starters and plenaries but that is obviously up to you.

Inspired by an idea @McGuirea499 posted on Twitter I thought I would write these. There are two; the first gets students used to the idea of changing one particular aspect (this could be pushed into generalisations if you like) and the second allows students to pick one element of an equation to fulfil a numerical property in the solution. There are obviously loads of different solutions for each task so discussion should evolve as a result. I have given examples of answers and left a template slide on each so you can design your own if you wish.

This has been half-complete for a while but I am looking for some more reasoning resources so decided to finish it. This involves the usual angles issues (on a line, around a point etc) as well as polygons and a slide of circle theorems.

This is a sheet which involves eight questions with answers given on the sheet (there are ten potential answers for the eight questions to avoid guessing). These have worked well for online schooling and allow students who are reasonably confident to get on as their answers appear on the sheet. In the meantime the teacher can help those who are less confident.
