Three "spiders" - the first two are general using of the theorem and the final one is more problem solving. This should encourage discussion, especially the final one.
Simultaneous Equations Spiders

Simultaneous Equations Spiders

(5)
Four spiders to complete: two involving two linear equations and two involving a linear and a quadratic. This is designed to create discussion and gives students options on how to solve, either by elimination or substitution. If you are feeling adventurous you could even draw the graphs...
Multiplying and Dividing Fractions Spiders

Multiplying and Dividing Fractions Spiders

(8)
Four sheets (two with mixed numbers, two without) to practise multiplying and dividing fractions. This is just a different way of doing some questions and depending on how it's run can involve plenty of discussion.

These are an attempt to break from the monotony of past papers in the run up to exam season. I have taken 2 questions from past papers and put them on one sheet; I will photocopy onto A3 for students to have a go in groups and discuss. The aims/rules etc are all listed if you wish to follow them and hopefully they all make sense. I have also provided answers.

This was an idea I had in on the way to work one morning - Clive makes mistakes on his homework and you need to correct them, explaining the mistake he’s made in each case. I intend to use this as a plenary or starter to check learning etc. They should create discussion too. There are 5 different mistakes to correct on two separate sheets; number 2 cover negative and fractional indices.

These are an attempt to break from the monotony of past papers in the run up to exam season. I have taken 2 or 4 (depending on whether they will fit on a page!) questions from past papers and put them on one sheet; I will photocopy onto A3 for students to have a go in groups and discuss. The aims/rules etc are all listed if you wish to follow them and hopefully they all make sense. I have also provided answers.

These spiders (there are seven of them in total) take you through simplifying, calculating, rationalising denominators, expanding brackets and rationalising "tough" surds.

QR Code Defuse The Bomb Activities - Core 3 and 4

I use these as a break from the "past paper drudgery" in the run up to exams. The questions are taken from past papers (amended in some cases). The idea is to answer each question fully then scan the QR code linked to the correct answer to form a code. Each QR code (correct or incorrect to avoid "cheating") scans to a song or artist that contains a number or colour, so this generates the code.

Percentage Spiders

Percentage Spiders

(3)
This takes students through percentage of an amount, one number as a percentage of another, percentage increase and decrease (including multipliers), percentage change, repeated percentage change and the reverse. This should be more challenging as the students go through it and should produce discussion.
Surds Matching

Surds Matching

(4)
I needed some surds practice so designed this. It moves through simplifying surds, surd calculations to rationalising the denominator. Discussion should be forthcoming as to the answer to the "spare". Now printable!
Inequalities Matching
alutwychealutwyche

Inequalities Matching

(0)
Six matching activities that get increasingly harder. Not all match which means that "process of elimination" cannot be used by students. This involves listing integers based upon an inequality and solving them too. This is an activity designed to encourage discussion. Now with quadratic inequalities slides! Errors corrected (I hope).
Ratio Matching
alutwychealutwyche

Ratio Matching

(1)
Simply: match the ratios that simplify to the ratio in the centre. I have used units of measurement on each matching activity as well. There are four to do and the answers make students simplify the ratios that don't match.
Sequence Match-Up

Sequence Match-Up

This is a second attempt to upload these as there was a problem with the first (no idea what and not of my doing!) and I have tried converting to PDF to negate any issues. Anyway, there are two sets of arithmetic to match with their nth terms, plus two nth terms that don't match for students to generate themselves.
