ALL ABOUT DINOSAURS | Powerpoint

(0)
Interactive powerpoint perfect for distance learning over zoom or in the classroom. The powerpoint talks about the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus and Pterodactyl. After each dinosaur is introduced, there is a description of the parts of its body and a page open for the students to come up with adjectives for the dinosaur. (If teaching online then this can be interactively typed over zoom) There is also a focus on herbivores and carnivores and there is a venn diagram activity at the end for students to discuss which dinosaurs are which.

DISTANCE LEARNING | Zoom Home Scavenger Hunt

(0)
A home scavenger hunt perfect for a bit of fun during distance learning on zoom. The items that the students need to find are very general and they come up with lots of different cool ideas as some are shapes and colours. Students can talk to the rest of the class about the item they have found for class points! The children love it and it is lots of fun and gets them excited and up and moving around their house instead of sat in front of the computer the whole time. The powerpoint can be edited to be made more difficult or descriptive for older students so it is suitable for everyone, enjoy!

BODY PARTS | MAKE YOUR OWN BINGO

(0)
Make your own bingo worksheet where students can choose and cut and stick to make their own bingo card. This goes with the “Body parts” powerpoint that has some fun actions to review or learn body parts, a song and an explanation of how to make the bingo card. (I don’t know why the thumbnail is messed up, its fine when opened :-) )

STARTING SOUNDS | CUT AND PASTE

(0)
A starting sounds cut and paste worksheet. Goes with Jack hartmann’s ‘learning letter sounds’ and ‘work out to the letter sound’ songs (Ii= insect), good worksheet to follow up with after learning. (Letters are in comic sans for easy letter recognition but the thumbnail shows a different font that doesn’t fit)

ROOMS OF THE HOUSE | LABELLING WORKSHEET

Worksheet where students can read and label the rooms of the house from the pictures. Good worksheet to do after introducing the vocabulary: living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom. Can also be a fun colouring activity.

IDENTIFYING 3D SHAPES | REAL LIFE OBJECTS | WORKSHEET

(0)
This worksheet is a perfect task for introducing 3D shapes and can also be used to test children’s knowledge. I have done a range of 3D blocks and also real life 3D objects. 3D shapes used are cone, square based pyramid, cuboid/rectangular prism, sphere, cube, triangular prism and cylinder.

PROPERTIES OF 3D OBJECTS | FACES, EDGES AND VERTICES | WHAT AM I? | WORKSHEET

(0)
This worksheet is perfect to test the children’s knowledge after introducing the properties faces, edges and vertices of 3D shapes. I used this for the children that need a bit of a challenge and instead of just counting the properties they need to think about it in a different way. (I have another worksheet available for the same lesson with less of a challenge)

PROPERTIES OF 3D OBJECTS | FACES, EDGES AND VERTICES | WORKSHEET

This worksheet is perfect to test the children’s knowledge after introducing them to the properties faces, edges and vertices of 3D shapes. I used this worksheet along with 3D blocks so they could count them using concrete materials and then record their answers. The pictures are also transparent so children could just use those to work it out if needed.

UNITS OF MEASUREMENT ┊PERIMETER ┊Measuring Scavenger Hunt PowerPoint

(0)
This is a fun lesson for practicing perimeter where students will go around the school/ classroom (or wherever you would like to place the cards) and answer the questions about perimeter. This product contains a PowerPoint presentation with instructions for the lesson and there is also a print out available on my store with the ready made questions to print out. I have left some blank which will require a shape. You can either add these in on the computer or draw them yourself (like I did, so that they were to scale so that the children could measure them with a ruler). The lesson is also differentiated for 3 different levels of learners, the triangle symbol being the lower ability, pentagon being the middle and hexagon being the higher. I hope you enjoy! let me know if you like it :-) Amber x

DO'S AND DON'TS IN THAILAND | CULTURE INVESTIGATION

(0)
I created this PowerPoint presentation to go along with our topic on Thailand. It talks about Thai etiquette, and things that are considered offensive in Thailand, encouraging discussion on similarities and differences to other cultures. The end of the presentation has a task in which pupils need to write a letter to a girl who is going to Thailand for a holiday to let her know how to be respectful to Thai people.

'DRAW A 2D SHAPE' CHALLENGE CARDS | MATHS | FAST FINISHER

(0)
These challenge cards are perfect to test the children’s knowledge on 2D shapes and have a go at drawing them. I used them for a P5 class (Year 4). There are 3 different levels (mild, spicy and hot). If challenge is needed, the ‘hot’ card with the 3 chillies require the children to use a protractor to draw the shapes with accuracy and use their previous knowledge of angles to draw them. These challenge cards can be used as a fast finisher task, or as a station activity.
