Hi, I'm a secondary science teacher from a comprehensive school in Cornwall. Just selling and sharing on resources which I've put my time into that have proven successful with students. As my school runs AQA GCSE Combined Science for GCSE and OCR Physics A for A Level, these are the specifications my resources are aimed at. I am hopeful of tailoring them to other exam boards in the future though.

A bundle of 3 sets of questions best suited to revision of the OCR Physics A H156 Module 3 - Forces & Motion. The question sets are designed in the following way: A set of questions aimed more at the Depth paper style, covering multiple ideas in one context. A set of questions that are deliberately wordy and take some deciphering, to encourage students’ reading comprehension. A set of questions to act as a summary of content to be recalled, more akin to the Breadth paper.

This is a bundle of 2 extended writing questions covering Ionising radiation and Thermodynamics. Included are blank assessment booklets for the students to complete (I usually run these as timed essays) as well as exemplar answers for discussion afterwards and for students to compare their own answers with. This has proven a really useful way to get my students to reflect on their use of language in their written communication - a skill that is often overlooked in physics.

Covering the more conceptual photoelectric effect and the more practical based experiment to determine Planck’s constant using LEDs, they use the CLOZE passage format to provide structure for students who struggle with written expression.

The questions are broken down by paper (i.e. Biology paper 1 & paper 2 etc.) At the end of each set of questions is also a set of questions covering the key points to recall for the required practical acitivities relevant to the topics, as well as some basic math skills checks. Excellent for supporting lower ability candidates to build a solid foundation in their subject knowledge before building in the higher order explanation and analysis skills needed for AO2 and AO3.
