I've just finished my Secondary PGCE in MFL in June 2019, so many of my resources will be put on to aid those who were in the same position as me! Hopefully in time, my resources will be catered to all! I hope to be useful for all those with many years of experience and inspire future teachers!

This is a short PowerPoint about El Día de los Muertos. This is intended for elementary students, but can be adapted to different levels. This was created to support my teaching and now I am sharing it with you. All the pictures and videos used in the PowerPoint were free resources found on the internet. Some of the suggested resources in the last slide are paid resources.
You can edit the PowerPoint, change fonts, background colors and add more slides!
The PowerPoint includes the link to create your own online Ofrenda on the Smithsonian Latino Center!
he game shows a family tree of La Familia Moderna, better known as ABC’s show “Modern Family” (This show is great! And it includes the famous Colombian actress Sofia Vergara). Students have picture cards with which they can play games relating to family vocabulary and the show. A list of several game idea is included.
Since this game is free of charge and used for educational purposes, it does not infringe on copyright laws. Therefore, please do not sell it!
Hope you enjoy! I know of many high school students who love this show, so using it for the Family unit would be culturally-relevant for many students.
(P.S. - Sorry the pictures for the cards are a bit blurry!)

A vocabulary mat is also provided to support higher-level writing using different tenses.
All the instructions are in the last page of the handout!!!

This is a quick and easy listening practice for students who are learning family members for the first time. Students use the first page to mark their answers and as a reference when listening to a series of statements about the family. Ten sentences for you to read and answers on the side. Best used as an anticipatory set or as the listening section for a test or quiz.
