Stone Soup is a folk story in which hungry soldiers convince the people of a town to each share a small amount of their food, in order to make a meal that everyone enjoys. The story exists as a moral regarding the value of sharing. This script can be amended to suit group sizes. Cast 10 - 30 pupils (but can be reduced or increased by cutting or adding narrators/villagers/soldiers etc…) The script supports low level readers In the notes there are cross curricular activities for this theme.
