This resource is an interactive lesson aimed at whole class or group phonics. It is a 44 slide Powerpoint presentation that allows children to revise phonemes and learn or revisit one of the alternative ‘a’ sounds. It covers the ‘a’ sound as in ‘path’ and takes 15-20 minutes. This is a pack of four RE plans, perfect for using during the Christmas season. The lessons are aimed at KS2 and are all highly interactive, using a range of enjoyable activities to teach the Christmas story and its messages. The themes that are covered include trust, refugees, spreading the word of God and similarities and differences. Each lesson includes a detailed PDF lesson plan with learning objectives, as well as a PowerPoint presentation telling the story. The PowerPoints are not editable. Click ‘Read Only’ to open. Some of the images are only revealed when the PowerPoints are played as slideshows with the animations. This interactive PowerPoint quiz is perfect for using in the 2024 Australian CBCA Book Week. It contains 54 questions. The first 48 questions cover famous books from Australia and around the world. The theme this year is ‘Reading is Magic’ and so I have chosen books that have a magical element or are from the fantasy genre. These are followed by one question on each of the books in the CBCA 2024 short list for ages 7-12. You can use this as a starter, an assembly, a filler or a main activity. All questions are multiple choice and focus on popular modern books as well as classics. After you have chosen an answer for each question, click again and the correct answer changes colour. The PowerPoint is not editable. Please click ‘read only’ to open. Some of the images are only revealed when the PowerPoint is played as a slideshow with the animations. A 30 page pack of fun Christmas themed activities aimed at 5-7 year olds. There are a mixture of numeracy, literacy, phonics and art activities perfect for the end of term. Examples include counting carol singers, writing acrostic poems and completing sequences among many others. Children can work independently on activities during this busy part of the year or they could be used as part of a whole lesson. A colour and black and white version of the 30 page booklet is included. A great way to keep learning going right up to the end of term. I used this booklet with my year 1 class last year and they really enjoyed it! PDF file format
