This is a great way to end term one for students who are studying Religious Studies at A-Level.
The quiz presupposes knowledge of the first few topics from Christianity and Ethics but these can easily be changed to suit your scheme of work.
There are three fun rounds and three rounds based on what students have learned for their A-Level.
Quiz Format
Team quiz with students in small Teams
Each question is multiple choice and has a one minute timer bar on the slide
There are six rounds
Each round has ten questions (60 questions total)
It should take around an hour to complete (rounds can be removed or added to suit)

Round 1 - Divine Command Theory
Round 2 - Christmas
This round tests general knowledge of Christmas with some fun and slightly obscure questions!
Round 3 - Bible as a Source of Wisdom
Round 4 - Who’s that philosopher?
This is a picture round - students have to pick from four possible philosophers for each photo
Round 5 - Virtue Theory
Round 6 - The Holiday Season
Students are given a date and four possible festivals that are celebrated on that date. All the festivals are celebrated in the month of December

Paper: Paper 2: Non-Textual (Thematic) Studies

This is a last minute revision lesson for students taking GCSE Religious Studies Paper 2. This is designed for those studying themes A, B, D and E
Starter Activity: Write down a quote for given topics
The lesson has an overview of the papers including recommended timings and last minute exam tips.
There is then a brief overview of each of the topics on the paper including a quote for each one. This can be taught to students or just given to them as a last minute summary.
Main Activity
You will need to print out at least one past paper for each student.
Students then RAG rate the questions in the paper.
There are then different activities for them to complete depending on whether they rated the questions as red, amber or green

This is a 20 mark exam question based on Utilitarianism. This is an A01 20 mark style question that tests students knowledge.
This can be set as homework, a revision task or an in class essay. If completing timed in class students should be given 25 minutes to answer this essay.
There is also a model plan and model answer that can be used to help support planning, DIRT and marking.

This is a past paper question from 2019 on two views of Jesus. This is a combination of the 20 mark (knowledge) question and 30 mark (analysis & evaluation) question.

Included is a model answer and a model plan to help support with DIRT and marking.

The first activity is an overview of the paper and top tips to do well
This starts with recommended timings and an overview of the type of questions
There are then some top tips for success
Activity 2
There is then one PowerPoint slide for each topic. Each slide provides a brief summary of the topic including key words, Bible verses, scholars and quotes.
These slides can be printed (a printer friendly version with white backgrounds is included) and given to students to help aid revision.
You can also go through each one or targeted ones with the class as a last minute summary of particular topics
Activity 3
This is a list of generic evaluation points that can be used if students are struggling to come up with points for 30 mark questions.
This is designed to help support weaker students or to deal with brain freezes in the exam.
Activity 4
Blurt sheets
Students can choose a sheet based on which topic they would like to revise.
They then write down everything they can remember about that topic in one colour pen
They then swap sheets with the person next to them and write down additionally information in a second colour
They can then use their notes to complete the sheets in a third colour
Plenary
The plenary is a cryptogram of a key quote by Augustine on sacraments
Included is the PowerPoint, a printer friendly version and all relevant worksheets including blurt sheets.
I also recommend giving students some past papers to look at.
