Two Newspaper articles for discussion based on FIFA not allowing England players to wear poppies during their football match. Children can then complete the comprehension and the optional challenge task

What is ‘Black Friday’ (shopping event.) How did it originate? Includes a text in Newspaper style about the event and comprehension questions based on this, ideal for a talking point and could lead into some excellent discussions in year 5/6 regarding marketing / advertising etc. I used this last year very successfully and it generated a great deal of valuable discussion.

Each quiz has 5 sets of 5 questions for participants to answer. Also useful for teachers to use in form time for a point of discussion for older pupils. Pupils must write the names of the bones (written to match up) next to the corrent location on the skeleton. This can easily be differentiated by not giving higher ability pupils the list of bones to match up. There are 29 in total. A really high quality worksheet

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE ASSEMBLY ADDITION! A collection of unique resources about bonfire night.
