I have been teaching MATHEMATICS (11-16) since 1990. I have regularly been commended on my classroom displays and the quality of my resources as I feel this enriches the student experience.
As a self-taught graphic designer I now produce professional quality materials for our academy/academy chain across all departments including posters/banners and promotional materials. I am currently working on updating some older resources as well as developing new ones!

Use to improve students identification of 3d - solid - shapes and info about them.
This resource is best used on an interactive whiteboard.
You will need Adobe Flash Player on your computer (most have it installed as standard)
The activity is to Drag a shape into it’s appropriate position. If it is correct it snaps into place. If it’s incorrect it will return to the top.
If you click the ? next to each box it gives info about that shape (click the ? again to make it close before proceeding)
I have other resources similar to this for 2d shapes and matching formulas to shapes.
A 2 page worksheet that involves using ALGEBRA
Handout and PowerPoint to show use of Pascal’s Triangle.
Some knowledge of algebra (simple addition, collecting terms) a prerequisite.
I suggest letting students try the worksheet before mentioning Pascal’s Triangle and they should notice the link.
ANOTHER comprehensive set of blank templates(40+) for you to use in your own documents, Powerpoints and Notebook slides etc. Only a few examples are shown the the image gallery above. You can import a template and resize it to what is required , either a large version or multiples per sheet (if you use the PDF version you can do this in the print settings automatically)
These include.
A set of grids and examples for creating a curve-stitched ALPHABET
A set using cube/rhombus patterns and more
On some of the more complicated patterns images of how to get started and steps along the way are provided
Let the students investigate different patterns they can make by joining spots up in different ways ( see investigation results graphic)
This is a follow up resource to my original curve stitching resource which is also FREE to download.
I think this will be a very challenging but useful activity
Answers included or should that be nswrs ncldd.
A great activity at any time of the year to keep mathematical language /words in the for front of their thoughts.
perhaps try to complete it over the Christmas Holidays
It could be set as a competition -individual/small group/ table
Each pupil could be given a different set of questions.
A table could be given all 10 sheets or all the same sheet and work collaboratively
Lots of possible variations
Please lets me know how it goes.
ANIMALS 2 and 3 PUZZLES ALSO AVAILABLE
COMPATIBLE with my PENTOMINOES STARTER KIT (15mm version) in both size and colour of pieces which is also available to download for free.
Use the resources to make your puzzles any size.
Use with PowerPoints, Displays and they should work on Interactive whiteboards
(eg put a puzzle on a notebook slide along with the 12 pentominoes and manipulate into position)
For up to 10+ PLAYERS at a time
I have played this game with pupil of all age/abilities of the last 20 years or so and it is one that has been one of my most popular and successful resources. It really surprised me how much the pupils improved their number bond skills
I have usually played it using a normal set of playing cards and on numerous occasions had pupils say they have played it a home with their family/friends. Playing card rules differ slightly and are included.
We have also played this (just for fun) with family and friends especially on holidays.
This set has 72 cards and should be printed on card/laminated
IF YOU NEED THE CARDS TO BE SMALLER/BIGGER i have included all my clipart images
Hopefull these two sets of worksheets will encourage student to visually compare fractions and resort only to calculation as a ‘checking mechanism’.
Set C has 10 question (40 sub-questions)
Set D has 5 question (15 sub-questions)
Set C - Order sets of 4 fractions
Set D - Compare 3 fractions against a ‘Base’ fraction and state if it is less than. greater than or equal to
Set B - State fraction in given fraction diagram
I have also included over 700 + pieces of clip-art.
Images for every fraction up to 20th’s to use in your own worksheets or Powerpoint’s etc
I started with the idea to make every possible variation you could have without reflection or rotational copies and it proved quite a challenge. After get to the 12th’s and making 183 diagrams and with thinking the 13th’s would have even more a just did a few variations for those up to 20th’s.
I hope what I have done will be of use to some one.
SETS C and D are part of a larger collection of fraction resources
If you download please comment/follow so if the resource is updated I will be able to notify you.
this resource is PART OF a SET that I have split into single items SEE MY OTHER DOMINO RELATED RESOURCES
INCLUDED a set of dominoes with the MULTIPLICATION Symbol
FOR PRINTABLE SETS OF DOMINOES with ADDITION, SUBTRACTION symbols on the dominoes
or just PLAIN - SEE MY OTHER UPLOADS
There is a worksheet for INEQUALITES ( <,> and =)
for NUMBER WORK 0-0 to 12-12 approx (5cm x 10cm at 100%)
I printed these on CARD and laminated them, other sets were printed on different coloured card
Remember to just print Page 1 or yo will print the example/instructions on page 2
The numbers are written with standard index form/scientific notation
to make them easier to read and understand.
While trillion is an incredibly large number, and the one that is the highest that some people will know about, there are actually many numbers that are larger than it.
This poster shows names from Thousand to Googol and a few extra of note.
A4, A3 and A2 sizes with tiling instructions included
and a High Quality PNG file in case you want to use it to produce an even large poster of in your own PowerPoint/Notebook files
A4 BLACK WHITE VERSION ALSO INCLUDED

This resource has a selection of posters showing the value of PI to a various number of decimal places.
The two distinctly different posters show the first 1000 and 10000 decimal places of PI respectivly (the latter having 3 colour variations and either A4 or A3 in size)
The banner shows the first 100 decimal places and can be either approx 3.5m or 7m dependent on how its stuck together (tiled).
This can be Pi, UP TO , 100 dp if you only print off as many sheets as you want.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A PART FINISHED RESOURCE - but still usable
WORKSHEETS and ANSWERS PROVIDED
PRIME NUMBERS LESS THAN 100 - Via PRIME PIXEL PICTURES (set of 25) + more NOW AVAILABLE
well a mixture of ideas to throw out there
Basically you have a grid of numbers in this case between 1-100
Pupils identify and colour/shade in the prime numbers to produce a PIXEL PICTURE
This resource is just an basic example where the primes come in order so they get to know the sequence
Others
are on bigger grids
Different colours by condition set
Prime mixed up
I have found it surprisingly successful in getting the pupils to learn their prime numbers
Also in this resource I have included a bit mash-up of various other areas of maths that could be brought in - PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK
This resource is intended to give students an opportunity to experience a different counting system. They should be familiar with the decimal system and may have some knowledge of perhaps, binary.
The Mayan’s used base 20 (vigesimal) in their counting system with associated digits ( being made up of a shell shape, a dot and a bar/line)
from 0 -19 rather than our 0-9.
It really is an exercise in practicing MULTIPLICATION and ADDITION in a different format and a touch of logical thinking.
I also have another resource that includes posters and other display items to go with this topic. It also includes a lot of artwork I have produced and used in my Mayan resources that you could use in your own resources if required.
2 versions of the same 15 questions (different levels of ‘scaffolding’)
Or
just project it on to whiteboard
Watch out for more in this series of resources on SURDS
** OVER 7600 questions, over 650 worksheets + ALL CLIPART**
Everything should be in the zip file

SEARCH-FIND-COUNT FARM ANIMALS
USE INCLUDED POWERPOINT for WHOLE CLASS INVOLVEMENT
WORKSHEET AND ANSWERS CAN BE PRINTED VIA POWERPOINT
I have not tried this as I am a secondary teacher but I was trying to come up with an idea for a primary college that would make counting ‘more interesting’ .
I thought that the main image may be laminated to allow pupils to use a whiteboard marker to cross off/ circle the ones they have found.
A tally chart(s) also could be used.
I have included all the ARTWORK I have drawn as individual clip-art so that you could use them to create your own PowerPoints, Notebook files etc
ALSO SEE
SEARCH - FIND - COUNT. ** At The Beach**
Find the angles in a triangle using their ratios. Use the worksheets but I can see the CLIP-ART probably being more useful as all 108 questions are included as separate files that can be used in your own worksheets/Powerpoints/Whiteboard files.
