As a self-taught graphic designer I now produce professional quality materials for our academy/academy chain across all departments including posters/banners and promotional materials. This is really a use of HIGHEST COMMON FACTOR to find the DIMENSIONS and hence the VOLUME of a cuboid given the area of each face. A very good KNOWLEDGE of finding the HCF, I would say, is essential. The higher numbered worksheets are very challenging otherwise. 15 worksheets each with 6 questions 2-1 to 2-15 You could cut them into single questions to be easily stuck into books. so working out could be shown. Each student could be given question within their ability range. Each pupil with a different question perhaps. Cut-up single questions could be mixed up but in a bag/envelope and used as a luck dip type situation

Use mathematical skills including LOGIC and REASONING to complete the 4X4 magic squares with the given numbers. 15 questions over 5 worksheets. On each worksheet 1-5 covers the last 15 Kings and Queens. All the magic squares are set out in the same format which students should be encouraged to find this pattern. The first box on the top row is the day so can only be between 1-31 The second box is a month so can only be between 1-12 The third is the century so can only be 16,17,18 or 19 (QE II is the only one born in the 20th century so is 19) etc etc On each worksheeet the King or Queen is and earlier date as you go down the questions.

PLEASE TRY THE FREE VERSION FIRST A fun way to learn the prime numbers less than 100 A set of 25 pixel picture puzzles Shade the squares that have prime numbers Identify Prime and Composite (non-prime) numbers 3 levels of difficulty Worksheets (A5/A4) + ANSWERS + blank grids Guidance/Instructions** Prior Knowledge Required Being able to identify some if not all the prime numbers less than 100 unless you use this as an activity for this purpose. This is an activity designed to make the learning of PRIME numbers much easier and I have been surprised, in the past, how successful it has been. Start with the PRACTICE question if needed. For this and ONE STAR PUZZLES the if you work through the grid, starting in the top left hand corner and work left to right and row by row the sequence of PRIME NUMBERS <100 appear IN ORDER. So find 2 and work through to 97 The sequence repeats (partially in some cases) up to the prime needed complete the puzzle Get them to do this methodically - this is how they pick up the sequence ( a printed sequence for them to have alongside may scaffold the initial process). TWO STAR - Same rules but generally a larger grid THREE STAR - Usually a larger grid but primes not in a particular order although some part of the prime sequence may occur. (Find a 2 and it may be next to a 3, then a 5, then a 7 etc etc) I have provided some blank grids for pupils to make up their own puzzles. Draw a picture by colouring in a small grid. Then working with a larger grid get them to write LIGHTLY SHADE their picture onto a big grid In each shaded square they then write a PRIME NUMBER (in sequence at first as in a one star puzzle) which gets them writing out the primes) FILL IN THE REST OF THE GRID WITH NON-PRIME which is an equally IMPORTANT TASK EITHER COPY THIS ONTO ANOTHER BLANK GRID or use COMPUTER and TABLE IN WORD, POWERPOINT or similar to produce a printable puzzle. **If you download and use this Free resource could you please comment/follow so I can use the information to develop addition resources ** A PDF file that had Ladybird Dominoes from 0-0 to 10-10 (66 dominoes over 11 pages) Normal set of dominoes 0-0 to 6-6 just print off pages 1 to 5 A very good activity for learning practicing number bonds to 10 (see image) or just used to play normal dominoes. Other possible ideas are outlined in the PDF. I have printed off a few sets on card and laminated them and are a big hit with the students Each domino is 6cmx12cm at 100% size (print off at lower % if smaller size is required)

A program (in Adobe Flash) that displays the factors/factors pairs for all the numbers 1-100 Really useful factor related activities and for checking worksheet answers. Lots to discus with the students. Same colour coding as my FREE Factor Banner/Poster which, at the moment, is my one of my most popular downloads. Should work on the touch of an interactive whiteboard . Flash should work on most computers/laptops and I have had this working through Internet Explorer. If you are able to make a comment/follow I would be grateful as it lets me notify you if there is any changes/upgrades to it.
