This is a 27 question worksheet that focuses on personification. Students are required to identify what is being personified and how that personification is happening. Students underline the idea, object, or animal being personified and then circle the human action that they’re doing that makes it an example of personification. There are two A4 sheets of examples and 2 answer pages. Previews are copy protected, file is free from blue lines. I hope that you and your children/students enjoy the challenge.

Finding The Theme In A Story Worksheet

(0)
This resource helps students practice finding the theme of a story in a fun way. Students can read and reinforce the definitions for the themes and then the students can read a story and determine which theme is in the story. They can then answer some discussion questions about character actions, their own chooses in life, beliefs and society. There are 10 stories to work through and discuss. My students love this task as it is great for reinforcing themes and generating discussion. This makes a great theme review for years 5 to 9 or 10 to 14 year olds. In the US it is applicable to be used with 4th to 9th grade students. However, it is mainly used with 4th, 5th and 6th grade students.

How to Draw Animals guides students to confidently draw 30 different animals that are popular with children. A great drawing unit to compliment your Art or animal topic lesson plans. The children can choose from aardvark, cat, chicken, deer, dog, dolphin, duck, dragon, eagle, elephant, frog, hedgehog, horse, iguana, kangaroo, komodo dragon, lion, monkey, orangutan, owl, peacock, rabbit, raccoon, rhinoceros, sea otter, shark, snake, tiger, turtle and a wolf Each guide contains six easy-to-follow pictured steps that start with basic lines and progress to a completed animal. The difficulty of the animal increases with the first 10 being the easiest and the last ten being for the more gifted artists/drawers in your class. The first 5 steps are in black and white with step 6 giving an idea of the colour(s) to use if so wished.
