Upper Primary/KS2 Descriptive Writing Setting Lesson - Through the Keyhole This is setting focused writing lesson is a popular and engaging lesson for learners. The lesson provides an engaging story starter prompt which learners can use or come up with their own. The focus of the lesson is what the character ‘Mia’ sees through the keyhole. Learners may choose to keep this character or will adapt with their own ideas. The lesson can be solely focused on describing what is seen through the keyhole or more confident writers may wish to continue the narrative with the character stepping through the door.
