This is a lesson and PowerPoint explaining how a microphone works. This is the seventh lesson in the Electromagnetism unit of work (P7). The lesson covers the basic idea of a dynamic microphone and how it functions. The lesson then extends to optional work on reading oscilloscope traces and utilises the wave equation for an example. Ideas for differentiation and homework also included in lesson plan as well as the equipment list for a recommended investigation and demonstration using tuning forks on an oscilloscope.
