A comprehensive lesson pack incluiding a lesson to recap natural selection (which will have been covered in year 1) in addition to a lesson on speciation and types of selection.
This pack includes:
3 x structured lesson PPTS with activities and videos embedded
Structured notes pack to complete
BBC article on an example of speciation as a starter with structured questions
Practical instructions for modelling genetic drift using coloured beads to represent a gene pool and structured questions for students
A range of past exam question
Link to Kahoot
Optional extension presentation task to promote independent group work
A comprehensive lesson pack on human gas exchange. The PPT contains a structured lesson and activities to complete in the structured notes and task booklet. There is also a pack of past AQA exam questions a diagram of the structures for students to annotate and an extension/creative writing task (called Olaf the oxygen molecule) for prep or for more capable students to have a go at with a guide mark scheme.
When giving the ‘Olaf’ task I have had students do amazing creative writing, make board games or story boards. It’s a great chance to get them thinking outside of the box. Some students choose to create a flow diagram which is a simple way to show they have the knowledge needed.
A bundle of self marking Forms quizzes. Inlcuding fully formatted Word document versions of the tests and mark schemes.
The cover AQA topic 3.3.1 and 3.3.2, surface area to volume ratio and gas exchange in humans, fish and insects.
Here is link that allows you to have a go at the gas exhange in humans quiz, so you can try it out yourself: https://forms.office.com/e/ZDxLAZVmKn
The bundle includes duplication links for the self marking Forms quizzes, (click the link and then set the test in Teams or send your class a link) and paper copies of the quizzes with a teacher and student mark scheme.
12 self marking Microsoft Forms quizzes for each part of AQA A level biology, topic 1, biological molecules. Make a brilliant starter, end of lesson review or homework activity.
The questions have been designed using the wording and pictures from the syllabus as well as by simplifying real exam questions, including math.
Here is a link to a free download of the 1.1. Monomer to polymer quiz: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12927848

32 keyword and definitions lists covering the entirety of the IGCSE biology syllabus. Keyword lists have seperate sections for double vs triple science and are in Word documents so fully editable.
An excellent revision resource for students but also great to give these out to students whenever covering a new topic.
Four short topic tests on the 3.3.1 and 3.3.2 of the AQA biology syllabus: Surface area to volume ratio and gas exhchange.
The pack includes short multiple choice, single word answer, fill in the blank, select from a list and math questions. The tests are simple to deliver and quick to mark. A quick teacher mark scheme and more detailed student mark scheme is included for each test.
Tests included:
Surface area to volume ratio
Gas exchange in humans
Gas exchange in fish
Gas exchange in insect
