Have fun in the classroom this Christmas season with these Christmas comprehension and listening skills activity worksheets. The low prep activity has been designed to support the retell of The Christmas Story set to rhyme, which is available in my 123mispoppins stores, however, it would also be compatible with other versions of the Christmas Story.
There are 16 question cards with multiple choice answers that check the understanding of children’s ability to answer retrieval questions about the important Christian event. Youngsters can use mini pegs to clip the correct answer, write each answer in an answer sheet template provided or use them to test peers during whole class discussion.
There are also 16 answer cards included in the PDF download, which will encourage learners to take responsibility for checking their own work or developing their skills in peer assessment. It’s a great way to move the ownership to children and free up teacher time by allowing them to self and peer assess.
