Sentence Types and Punctuation (KS2)
This lesson is part of my SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar - sometimes abbrieviated to GPS) collection. This lesson focuses on sentence types and punctuation, but also contains some further grammar practice. This lesson was created completely independently and was created purely to plug gaps in my pupils knowledge.
I tend to get my class to complete a baseline for SPaG, so I know where to target.

Retro Checkboard Groovy Introduction Slides (Blank Template)
This will be my new template for introduction slides this year. I’ve gone for a retro 90s vibe with swirls, checkerboard and disco balls!
I hope you love as much as I do.
You can screenshot the slides and use as the background for your own powerpoints or even just write straight over the top using your interactive whiteboard pen! Use as many or as little slides as you wish!

Place Value Word Mat
I have created this resource to use alongside my Place Value scheme of work for upper KS2. I laminated the resources double-sided and place them within individual learning packs for each of my Year 6 pupils.
Enjoy!
My Perfect Classroom Transition Resource
I used and created this resource as a transition activity for my pupils to identify what aspects makes their ideal learning environment.
I prompted their responses:
Do you like a tidy workspace?
Do you like to work in silence or have quiet music?
Do you like to have team or partner talk?
**I also used a flower smiley and a rubik’s cube template - initially the rubik’s was aimed more for the boys, although it proved fan favourite. Not a surprise, as my current class are obsessed with rubik’s cubes - niche right?
**
You might also get pupils to cut these out, as a motor skills activity.
Anyway, I you like them as much as my Year 5’s did!
Synonym Fries Interactive Display
This is a really fun interactive display, which has synonym ‘fries’ within take-away style packaging.
My English Working Wall display has synonym store, which has **10 high frequency **words and its synonyms. All of the synonyms are in the form of fries, which pupils can use when they are editing their creative writing. This resources works alongside my ‘mini thesaurus’ resources, however these are more interactive and fun. They have definitely made my pupils more interested in vocab!
I bought some cheap craft cardboard chip packages to place my synonym fries in. The text is cursive and written in mayo and ketchup colours!
There are 119 synonym fries in total - providing my quick Maths is correct! Note: I use the synonym fries (small) for my display.
I hope you and your pupils enjoy!
Star Wars Accelerated Reader Display
This is by far my favourite display ever! I still can’t believe I created something so cute. Definitely gender neutral and my pupils love it.
This is a super cute display for Accelerated Reader, which focuses on percentage rather than words read, so it’s inclusive for all. I went for a star wars theme because I wanted it to go for a sci-fi vibe. I personally like to use hessian and matte laminating pouches, but this will work on a variety of backings. There are over 40 individual parts, including the heading.
This display would also work for most reading tracking displays.
I’ve also added a display plan of how I envisage it to be hung, but you can experiment with what works best for your display boards.
Enjoy!
Word Class Visual Aids
I created these as visual aids to be hung above my interactive whiteboard, as a reminder of each word class. Great for a teaching resource or a personal memory aid.
Includes ** 8 different word classes**, with examples, descriptions and visual prompts.
verb
noun
adverb
adjective

Vocabulary Ninja Display
This is a super cute display for Vocabulary Ninjas. I personally like to use hessian and matte laminating pouches, but this will work on a variety of backings. There are over 20 individual parts, including the heading.
This display would also work for most times table tracking displays.
I’ve also added a display plan of how I envisage it to be hung, but you can experiment with what works best for your display boards!
I would recommend you printing a few copies of page 6 - I think I went with 6 in the end. I then laminated these with a gloss pouch, so I could use a whiteboard pen to write, remove and rewrite vocabulary onto them.
Enjoy!
TT Rockstars Space Invaders Display
This is a super cute display for TT Rockstars. I went for a space invaders theme because I wanted it to go for retro gaming vibes. I personally like to use hessian and matte laminating pouches, but this will work on a variety of backings. There are over 20 individual parts, including the heading.
This display would also work for most times table tracking displays.
I’ve also added a display plan of how I envisage it to be hung, but you can experiment with what works best for your display boards (Note: the display plan is for my 99 Club version, however the idea is the same, as my school switched Multiplication schemes after I’d already started to create my resource!)
Enjoy!
99 Club Space Invaders Display
This is a super cute display for 99 Club. I went for a space invaders theme because I wanted it to go for retro gaming vibes. I personally like to use hessian and matte laminating pouches, but this will work on a variety of backings. There are over 20 individual parts, including the heading.
This display would also work for most times table tracking displays.
I’ve also added a display plan of how I envisage it to be hung, but you can experiment with what works best for your display boards!

Space-Themed Table Names
This pack includes 5 space-themed table names for your classroom. Each table name has a brief description of the celestial body.
I use these within my first term alongside my Science Space topic.
They allow for great sharing opportunities between tables, as well as acting as a great behaviour and classroom management tool for group praise and positive reinforcement.
The names include:
Nebulae
Aurorae
Comets
Meteors
Asteroids
Clock Flower Petals
A personal take on the Twinkl classic. I’ve updated the petal clock design, using cursive writing, cute retro prints, the twenty-four hour digits and also the written minutes.
Mini Thesaurus - English Resource
This resource contains 40 high frequency words, each containing 14 synonyms. They are a great visual resource for creative writing and editing. I hang mine onto my English Working Wall as cute hand-sized packs, which I ring-bind together, after laminating.
Show Don't Tell Me - English Descriptive Writing
This bundle contains 29 different emotion cards, which can be made into hand-sized resources for descriptive writing. I pin my to my English working wall, as a resource for pupils to use if needed, but they would work on table tops too! Each card has eight sentences, which show an emotion rather than telling how a character feels.
So rather than pupils writing:
Emmy feels sad…
They could utilise the resource to write:
Emmy hung her head low. She took a deep, heavy breath out of her trembling lips…
