Exploring Baby Animals EYFS KS1

(0)
A fun activity to develop observation, labelling, and drawing skills while exploring baby animals: Tiger cub, lamb, baby hedgehog or hoglet, piglet, foal, chick. Children are introduced to the animals with colour pictures and can then complete the labelling black and white worksheet showing each animal. Each subsequent sheet then shows one of the animals. The task is for children to see what is missing on each of the pictures of the animals and complete/draw these features to end up with a complete picture of the animals (e.g., missing ears, eyes, tail).

Children can discover what’s in their kitchen cupboards! Use fun activity sheets to explore everyday items like vinegar, tomato sauce, olive oil, salt, and soy sauce. Match labels to bottles, colour and label containers, and think about the foods and liquids we use at home. Draw and label what is inside the containers, and answer quiz questions to show understanding and learning. A great way to connect learning to the Home and the foods we eat! Links with literacy, science, Homes and Ourselves.
