A first lesson in Spanish for beginners

Materials to build a short dialogue to be repeated with many friends - find out how you partner is, why they feel that way, and invite them out. Will they say yes, or give you a good excuse not to come with you.

Match the words to pictures in this card game of numbers and food. Could you tell a hungry caterpillar story? or could the children write one based on this vocab game?

We learn the language by acting it out, then I give the children the pictures to put in order and plant the seeds. We drill the language and reward good speaking aloud.

A very simple song using Spanish to play the 'What's the time Mr Wolf?' game. I ask the children to form a line and while they walk forwards I walk backwards in front of them. This keeps the game under control.
