QR Codes for feedback - GCSE Spanish

QR Codes for feedback - GCSE Spanish

This is a handout to provide feedback to your Year 9 and GCSE students on their written work in Spanish. After marking a piece of writing, I add one of this handouts to my students' work, highlighting an area or two for them to improve. Alternatively, I cut a QR Code and stick it on their work along with my feedback. Students have to use a QR code reader on their iPads or smartphones to access the content in the QR Codes which will display some grammar information. In this way feedback is a bit more personalised and interactive. Hope you can give it a go! https://mymflbox.weebly.com/the-spanish-box/giving-feedback-using-qr-codes
Speaking exam revision - dice

Speaking exam revision - dice

Hope you find this resource useful in the run-up to the oral exams. Have your students working in pairs, taking turns to roll the dice to answer the question on the sheet. It doesn’t matter if they roll the same number twice, the more practice they get, the better. You can limit the practice time per area to 5-6 minutes. You can edit it and adapt it to your own needs.

This is a adaptation of a brilliant idea shared by @MissLlewis and @HuntingEnglishblog. A self-reflexion activity to foster students’ independence and improve their revision techniques.

New AQA A-Level IRP Spanish/French/German

I've found this handout really helpful when I use it with my A-level students. It helps students identify how they needed to shape their IRP. Very useful as well for MFL teachers to know what they need for the new AQA A-level and also to structure the questions for the oral exam.
Spanish IGCSE Speaking exam. Planning sheet

Spanish IGCSE Speaking exam. Planning sheet

(1)
This handout aims to support Spanish IGCSE students organising Part 2 and 3 of the speaking examination by defining which areas they would like to cover in the General conversation and which in their Topic presentation. It helps them get a better understanding of the exam. I also added an activity I usually set as holiday homework to my set B students in order to support them writing their Topic presentation. I ask students to write a book about themselves and include pictures. (they love this part) after this book is marked and corrected, we discuss which chapter they enjoyed more writing about and we discuss how we can use that for their oral exam.
IGCSE Progress tracker for oral exam

IGCSE Progress tracker for oral exam

I’ve found this progress tracker very useful for students, parents and teachers to track students’ progress in the different speaking mock exams. It can help the students to target their revision and notice those weaker areas and strenghts of their oral exam. It contains sections for them to add their final version of their presentation and follow-up questions, feedback from the teachers and student’s notes. The marking scheme is also included for them to know what they are expected to produce to achieve a higher grade.
