This lesson gives pupils an understanding of what is included in the writing exam.
It covers bullet points 1&2 and gives pupils examples of good and bad examples. It also includes a Vocabulary booklet, that pupils can use to aid them with their writing.
This lesson can be used with S1-S6. It allows pupils to explore what European Languages week is all about, furthermore touches on the importance of Eurovision and what eurovision is. Activity 5: Listen to the following celebrities speak another language - how many languages do they speak and what are these languages?
Activity 6: Use the book called ‘Lara’s language journey across europe’ - you can download this for free. Print of some of the pages and hang them around the classroom. Pupils can then scan the barcode and learn a few new words in numerous of languages - feedback to the class

Listen to a variety of songs over the years get pupils to write down the country and give their opinions in the target language
