This is a Spring Term Maths Assessment for Year 1 (uploaded in PDF and Word format, which is editable) . ALL Year 1 maths objectives (NC 2014) are covered in the assessment. Also included is a mark scheme, instructions, tracking sheets and a spreadsheet to record the results and to give you an overall grade. The Spring assessment will allow children to demonstrate they are either below, working towards, meeting or exceeding the Year 1 objectives. This method of assessment quickly allows you not just to see individual pupils' weaknesses, but also weaknesses within the class and provides the teacher with an excellent evidence base. It has been created using the Year 6 Arithmetic Tests resource that can be found by clicking here. In the full resource you will find test generators for questions based on the 2016, 2017 and 2018 arithmetic tests. In addition, there is a Questions Only generator for each test (for regular use and to save on printing costs) and a tracking sheet to show progress over time and identify weaknesses.

This isn’t just one phonics screening check, or two…or three. This resource draws on a bank of over 1000 (editable) words to randomly generate 1000s of checks at just the push of a button. Answer sheets and pupil cards are randomly generated and then all you have to do is print and go! For each check, 40 words are generated (20 real words and 20 pseudo words) in line with the national checks and should be carried out in exactly the same way using the corresponding pupil cards. Also included is a colour coded tracking sheet to easily track pupils across the academic year. Enter names, enter scores and the spreadsheet will do the rest and calculate a class average, These resources are great to prepare pupils for the phonics screening check and to track pupils progress throughout the year.

This is a collection of mental maths papers/tests for Year 5. The spreadsheet includes four sheets differentiated four ways (LA, MA, HA and Challenge) and includes answer sheets. What makes these different to other published mental maths material, is that each sheet can be randomised by simply pushing F9 on your keyboard, so there are almost an unlimited combination of questions for each paper. This means they can be used as often as you like with very little repetition. Use them daily, weekly, termly or as you wish. Use them for early bird, homework or to regularly assess the children's mental computation. Also included on the sheet is a record sheet if you wish to track pupil progress - simply fill in the names and record the results in the grid (scores will be colour coded for easy analysis). The previews represent just a fraction of the sheets that can be produced!
