How To Wash A Woolly Mammoth Planning

(0)
Does your woolly mammoth need a wash? This picture book will show you how! A little girl, sensibly clad in a yellow mackintosh and red wellington boots offers readers a step-by-step guide to bathing a mammoth, including everything from how to get the mammoth into the tub (try a skateboard or maybe a heavy-duty crane, or even luring him in with a cake) to how to wash his hair. Just make sure he doesn’t get any soap in his eyes… With a minimal text and delightful illustrations from Kate Hindley, this is a fun spin on the instruction manual format. There is plenty of humour to keep small readers entertained, and Hindley’s adorable pictures brilliantly capture the woolly mammoth’s changing moods - from panic when the soap goes in his eyes, to his final sense of happiness and contentment when he’s out of the bath and snugly wrapped in a towel. Be sure to look out for all the funny mammoth bathroom products on the back cover - ranging from tusk whitener to antibacterial hoof wash. This is great fun to share, and might just persuade any youngsters with an aversion to bath time that having a wash isn’t so bad after all. This scheme of work is designed for LKS2 and has differentiated planning, resources and SMART notebooks to support a really enjoyable unit. The main focus of this planning is to create an instructional text focusing on The Stone Age. I hope you enjoy this planning as much as I enjoyed planning it.

Ruby's Worry Planning

Ruby’s Worry Ruby loves being Ruby. Until, one day, she finds a worry. At first it’s not such a big worry, and that’s all right, but then it starts to grow. It gets bigger and bigger every day and it makes Ruby sad. How can Ruby get rid of it and feel like herself again? A perceptive and poignant story that is a must-have for all children’s bookshelves. From Tom Percival’s bestselling Big Bright Feelings series, this is the perfect book for discussing childhood worries and anxieties, no matter how big or small they may be This planning/scheme of work is designed to support those with SEND. It would also work perfectly in EYFS -Y1. This planning has activities and resources for yp who are verbal and non verbal as well as those who need small step support pre curriculum. The planning includes a smart NOTEBOOK to support the teaching along with comprehensive planning and resources. Please contact me if your school is using INPRINT as I have a lot more resources to accompany this SOW if this is the case. Enjoy!
