Currently work in the Youth Justice Service developing programmes of intervention for young people in the service.
Past experience working as a teacher of Art and Graphics in a young offenders institute, teacher in alternative provision education specialising in SEMH & SEND, and mainstream secondary teacher of Design Technology and Art & Design.

These assessment slips were developed by myself to use within a secure setting.
I have created a range of slips to suit each teacher requirement, for example: numeracy focus, literacy focus, soft skills focus and general (perfect for vocational and creative subjects)
The boxes provide a place for the learner to respond to the feedback and a signature and date box (to help monitor progress)

I created this reference sheet for use in my establishment. I find it supports both myself and the learners with their understanding of the various verbs used within the assessment criteria for their qualification.
The colours are coded to sit alongside the TEEP taxonomy tube map
The title verbs are taken from Bloom’s Taxonomy (Anderson’s Revised)

I have started to create a bank of worksheets focusing on various designers / artists / illustrators. These stem from my initial design movement worksheets (also available on my account).
I use these worksheets to introduce young offenders (15-18) to a range of designers and artists. These worksheets could also be left as cover, or even set as a homework task to build learner knowledge and understanding. Each worksheet has two parts, the information sheet and the corresponding worksheet.
This bundle contains:
Alessandro Mendini
Ben Frost
Camille Walala
Dasha Chukhrova
Kate Moross
Mariano Pascual
I have tried to look at some more obscure and unusual examples to broaden knowledge for learners.
I will continue to upload bundles of between 5 and 10 sheets as I create them.
Please feel free to ask me any questions! Happy to make changes if needed :)

This is a bundle I have created for all of my factsheets.
I created a huge number of Artist research factsheets during my PGCE. The information for these was all found on the internet (please note I have not reworded any, merely copied and pasted). The idea behind the factsheets was to have a bank of resources for reference, both for myself and for students.
I have printed all of these out and have them in separate folders (relating to style of art/design). I have made great use of them during my time teaching in a young offenders institute, and the learners like to select their own designers for inspiration to develop their ideas.
This bundle contains a wide range of artists, designers, etc. It includes:
Conceptual Art
Collage Illustration
Graphic Design
Typography
Illustration
Modern Fine Art
Traditional Fine Art
Street Art
Textiles Art
Photography
Installation Art

This is a full UPDATED FOR 2019/20 ACADEMIC YEAR unit of work for the NCFE Level 1 Award in Graphic Design. I wrote it to deliver within a young offender setting and it works really well for 15-18 year old learners that are low ability.
I have included pretty much all of the corresponding worksheets for the unit in this bulk resource.
Prior to me writing the qualification, I found very little resources for the NCFE quals so hopefully this will support others now!
I have also uploaded:
Unit 01 - Visual (this unit)
Unit 02 - Influential
Unit 03 - Rebrand
Unit 04 - Create
NCFE Level 2 Certificate / Diploma in Creative Media (Graphic Design)
Unit 02 - Minimalist
Unit 04 - Typo
Unit 07 - Communicate
Unit 08 - Illustrate (this resource)
The NCFE EQA approves of the formatting for the unit booklets and finds them very easy to quality assure.
Feel free to message me with any questions.
I have recently modified the resources to remove all youth justice reference. If you require any changes, please feel free to contact me nataliesheldon86@outlook.com
A series of design movement worksheets I have created for use in my lessons. I use these alongside the NCFE Level 1/2 in Graphic Design, however they would work well in KS3 and GCSE curriculum, perhaps as a homework task.
Would suit Art & Design, Graphic Design and Design Technology subject areas.
Have also uploaded some more Graphic/Design/Technology based worksheets of the same style.
Colourful and interesting literacy in Art & Design word mat
I designed this to be used alongside the NCFE Graphic Design & Art & Design qualifications, however it would also work for KS3 and KS4 in mainstream schools.
Contains key words, connectives, punctuation, command words, sentence starters and homophones
I have also created a numeracy mat in a similar style
I have laminated these and they are available for my learners in a folder in the classroom. They could also be stuck to desks or inserted into portfolios to support with annotation and theory work.

Contains cubism, tessellation, symmetry, perspective, enlargement and scale factor, and ratio
I have also created a literacy mat in a similar style

This is a very large booklet I designed for the boys I work with in a Young Offender’s Institute.
The booklet can either be self-directed or taught and contains a wide range of tasks, activities and information.
I have used a key to demonstrate cross-curricular pages.
There are opportunities for stretch & challenge tasks, as well as a wide range of written and practical activities.
I have tried to make the booklet colourful and interesting (my design side coming through).
Subjects covered include: graphic design, maths, English, geography, PSHE, as well as British Values.
I have uploaded the file as a PDF due to the size, however if a PowerPoint is required please do email me after purchase and we can arrange something (nataliesheldon86@outlook.com).
Feel free to ask me any questions!
I created these resources during my time working as a Teaching Assistant in a school with a large majority of EAL learners. We held an EAL focused day and I provided resources for the creative subjects - Art & Design and Design & Technology.
The resources include -
Key words (that can be laminated and used in reference to equipment in the classroom)
Worksheets relating to logos (a bit of fun), and colour
Hello sheet in different languages

It is designed to be self-directed, but can also be used as part of classroom teaching.
This is perfect for learners studying any course at KS4 or Year 9 minimum.
The focus of the booklet is gun crime in the United States. The booklet makes reference to geography skills and graphic design skills, with literacy encouraged throughout the booklet in the form of questions and answers.
I decided to create this booklet after watching some of the Louis Theroux documentaries on Netflix (around gun crime in the United States). These would be a potentially great add-on to the booklet.
