Contains one sheet per letter of the alphabet, A-Z This resource could be used as a morning warm up or in conjunction with any existing Language program. It could be used at the beginning of the school year or towards the end. Use it to introduce the alphabet to your students, or to review the alphabet at any time of the school year. The students first trace the letter of the alphabet that is introduced. The teacher could review the short vowel sounds as well. Students, could visually see the picture and word together. In turn this will reinforce the spelling of the object shown. Drawing a picture with one of the vocabulary words will also reinforce the learning. Lastly, students have the opportunity to write a sentence about the picture that they drew. 28 Pages.

Alberta HEALTH and LIFE SKILLS Grade 2 Curriculum Activities

This resource has been created to facilitate the task of teaching the many prescribed learning outcomes in the Alberta Ministry of Education, Health and Life Skills Curriculum. The Health and Life Skills Curriculum (Grade 2) is divided into 3 general outcomes, Wellness Choices, Relationship Choices, and Life Learning Choices. Within each outcome there are a number of specific learning outcomes. To make this resource teacher friendly, we have colour coded each general outcome title and frame. These colours then repeat themselves on the specific page. Copies for students could be printed in black and white to save colour ink. The pages have not been numbered so that you have the freedom of picking and choosing the order you wish to use. The suggested delivery method would be to make copies for each of your students of the topic sheet that you would like to work on. Read the lesson information at the top of each sheet to initiate discussion. Once discussion has taken place, instruct the students to work on the follow-up activity. However, you are the teacher, you know your students best. Use your expertise to decide how you would like to deliver the material in this resource. 46 Pages.
